MARTINSBURG — Citizen reports assisted in the apprehension Tuesday of a Licking County man who fled from state highway patrol troopers near Martinsburg.

Kenneth M. Rine was caught on U.S. 62 at approximately 3:50 p.m., about four hours after he ran from Ohio State Highway Patrol, Mount Gilead Post troopers investigating a disabled vehicle near Martinsburg.

Knox County Sheriff’s Capt. Jay Sheffer said a bulletin was issued on Knox Alerts for Clay Township residents. The alert said to report suspicious persons, while cautioning against approaching Rine.
