Higland middle school students Faith Stewart, left, Jacob Davis and Jon Jensen discuss the personalized learning platform they are using in seventh-grade this year.

SPARTA — In the words of Principal Matt Bradley, Highland Middle School is “transforming education.”
HMS is one of only two schools in Ohio that have been chosen to pilot the Summit Learning platform, an educational tool which makes truly individualized learning possible in order to, Bradley said, “get the maximum out of every kid.

“It also gives us a way to manage data on individual students to facilitate everything we wanted to do anyway,” he said.
