MOUNT VERNON — For Senior Night, Mount Vernon head coach Doug Savage let his five seniors start Saturday’s game against Watkins Memorial.

They produced.

Taylor Gregory led the way with 22 points, eight rebounds and eight steals as the Yellow Jackets took apart the Warriors, 48-31, at The Hive.

“If you look at her (Gregory’s) statline, she has things in every column,” Savage said. “This is the way she plays. She’s become really consistent this season — aggressively consistent.”

Gregory and Maggie Nussbaum sparked the early surge with a 3-pointer each. Their 11-0 run gave Mount Vernon a 13-4 lead early in the second period.
