MANSFIELD — Mount Vernon suffered a shooting letdown at the worst possible time, and despite a fourth-quarter comeback which sent the game to overtime, host Mansfield Madison earned a 60-55 upset Ohio Cardinal Conference victory on Thursday. The loss not only ended the Yellow Jackets’ 13-game winning streak, it ended their OCC title hopes as well.

West Holmes won the OCC title for the eighth time in nine years and ninth time in 10 years with a 12-1 record with one game to play. Mount Vernon (16-4, 10-3) is currently two games back with one game left. The Jackets still have a chance to earn second place outright in its final game of the season at Wooster next Thursday.
