MOUNT VERNON — February is American Heart Month, and Knox Community Hospital invites women of the community to attend the annual Go Red for Women event on Tuesday, Feb. 28.

In coordination with the Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness at KCH, join others to see how easy it is to prepare heart healthy lunches and learn about the updated weight management program and setting goals for a healthier lifestyle. Held at the Center for Rehabilitation and Wellness from 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., the open house format will offer the following:

•Chair massages from 11:30 a.m. to 12:45 p.m.;

•“Pack a healthy lunch demonstration” at 11:30 a.m. (Everyone receives a free salad shaker!);

•Weight management and healthy lifestyle presentation at noon;

•Tours of Fitness Center and warm water pool; and

•Heart healthy boxed lunches provided to eat on site or take with you.

There is no charge, but seating is limited, so call 393-9621 by Feb. 21 to reserve a seat. Wear red and join others for this interactive, fun, educational heart event.
