CENTERBURG — The Centerburg Public Library will host a “Discovering Your Ancestors” workshop presented by volunteers from the local chapter of Daughters of the American Revolution. DAR is a lineage-based organization for women who are directly descended from a person involved in the Revolutionary War.

Some topics the workshop will cover are: Organizational skills, source checklist, using census and court records. The workshop will also share information on starting a search of your own lineage and provide an overview of some lineage societies.

This event will be held Saturday, March 18, from 1-2:30 p.m., at the Centerburg Village Council Hall located at 49 1/2 E. Main St., Centerburg.

The workshop is free, however, registration is required. To register for this event, call the Centerburg Public Library at 740-625-6538 by March 15. This event is limited to 25 participants. Refreshments will be provided.
