• Bill Davis/News Centerburg senior Gunnar Gregory (10) looks to dribble past Highland’s Kaleb Phillips during Saturday’s Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference game. The Trojans won, 60-51, in overtime.

CENTERBURG — With a league title possibly on the line, Gunnar Gregory took matters into his own hands.

The senior with the hot hand scored eight points in overtime to finish with 33 points and helped rally the Centerburg Trojans to a come-from-behind 60-51 victory over Highland in a battle of two teams atop the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference Blue Division.

“It’s a rivalry,” Gregory said simply. “Teammates are setting up great screens and getting me great passes. They made things a whole lot easier.”

Highland led throughout the first three quarters. Gregory had 14 points after three quarters, when the Scots were holding a 41-34 lead. He had 11 points in the fourth, including a 3-pointer with 4 1/2 minutes to play to finally tie the game at 43.
