MOUNT VERNON — Kimberly A. Bartram, 57, died Thursday, Jan. 26, at her home with her daughter by her side.

Born Feb. 12, 1959, in Mount Vernon, Kim grew up in town and graduated from Mount Vernon High School, class of 1977. She married her late husband, Howard Bartram, in 1978. Together, they raised one daughter and established a warm, loving homestead on 23 acres in nearby Fredericktown. In 2013, she returned to Mount Vernon to enjoy closer proximity to her many friends and interests.

Kim enjoyed a long career in service to others, principally as a dental assistant and, for almost the past 20 years, a massage therapist at her self-made business, Bodywork Central.

Kim is survived by her daughter, Samantha Bartram; mother, Helen Wilson; sister, Carolyn Shaffer and brothers, Mike, Allan and Steve Wilson; and a multitude of nieces, nephews, friends, former in-laws, comrades, compatriots, partners in crime and confidants — you know who you are and Kim loved you all.

A private celebration of her life will be held in the spring.

In lieu of flowers, tax-deductible donations may be made via personal check to Kindred Hospice, 112 Harcourt Road, #3, Mount Vernon, OH 43050; or Dogs of Knox Fund, 11819 Pleasant Valley Road, Mount Vernon, OH 43050.
