MOUNT VERNON — Trever Allen Davis, 28, of Mount Vernon, passed away Thursday, Jan. 26, 2017, at his residence. He was born on June 8, 1988, in Columbus, the son of Greg and Sue (Hannan) Davis. Trever attended Mount Vernon High School and was a 2006 graduate of Marion Pleasant High School.

Trever was an accomplished wrestler where he was a four time Ohio qualifier, reached the podium twice and was nationally ranked his senior year of high school. He continued his wrestling and academic career at Muskegon College in Michigan and Notre Dame College in Ohio. Trever was an avid fan of the Cleveland Cavaliers and Green Bay Packers. He was currently employed at Jeld-Wen in Mount Vernon.

Besides his parents he is survived by his sister, Samantha (Andrew Phillips) Davis of Orem, Utah; a brother, Treg Davis of Mount Vernon; maternal grandmother, Betty Hannan of Mount Vernon; paternal grandmother, Ruth Davis of Mount Vernon; aunts and uncles, Glenn and Mary Lou Hannan, David and Julie Hannan, Connie Sheets, Steven and Terri Davis, Joanna Litt and Rosy Davis. He is also survived by his cousins, Ashley Davis, Reanna Davis, Matt Hannan, Mike Hannan, Ian Hannan, Michael Davis, Sarah Boyer and Casie Litt.

Trever was preceded in death by his maternal grandfather, Richard Hannan; paternal grandfather, John “Joe” Davis; and uncles, Jeff Davis and Terry Sheets.

Friends may call Thursday, Feb. 2, from 5-8 p.m., at the Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home, 201 Newark Road, Mount Vernon. The family will observe a private graveside service in Brandon Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Trever’s name may be made to the Mount Vernon Youth Wrestling Club and can be funded at any branch of First Knox National Bank.
