UTICA — When Darren Mueller looked out the back window to check on his dog Monday morning, he got a shock. After letting his 1 1/2 year old Shih Tzu, named Grimm, out for exercise, Mueller saw Grimm threshing around in the water of their lake at their home on Utica Road, east of Utica.p>Mueller told the News he believes the dog had ran out on the ice covered water, but the ice was too thin and Grimm fell through. Mueller quickly called 911 and then ran outside, grabbed a broom, ran down to the lake and wadded in trying to catch the dog with the broom. He couldn’t reach it.
