FREDERICKTOWN — This spring, for a short span of six weeks, the seven Hatfield sisters of Fredericktown — Sue Zernis, Betty Heil, Marti Stringfellow, Jean Johnson, Joyce Calver, Joan McCall and Georgia Helmick — will all be in their 80s at the same time. To commemorate the occasion, the ladies are planning to celebrate with a weeklong trip to Branson, Missouri, a popular vacation destination famous for its amusement parks, dinner theaters, museums, festivals, live shows and more.

Donning customized “Hatfield sisters” T-shirts, the ladies plan to hop in a bus, driven by their nephew, Paul Zernis, and attend five different shows during their trip. Helmick told the News that she is most excited to see a live-action performance of “Moses,” as she is a big fan of Bible story productions.
