CENTERBURG — The Central Ohio Joint Fire District is now the owner of its firehouse and a restructured board is in place to govern the district.

COJFD Board Chair Tom Stewart confirmed that the deal for the firehouse was closed Jan. 6, with the deal remaining as announced in August: A sale price of $350,000 for the building and approximately 2.7 acres, with $50,000 paid at closing and the rest in $30,000 installments. The COJFD will maintain the helipad, although it is on Hilliar Township property.
