LEXINGTON — Mount Vernon had another of its Jekyll-and-Hyde games on Saturday, trailing Lexington by two at halftime before blowing open the game in the second half for a 52-27 victory.

“After shooting the ball so well at Clear Fork on Thursday, this was more of a defensive, grind-it-out type of a game,” Yellow Jacket head coach Doug Savage said. “I am very proud of our defensive effort, especially in the second half.”
