MOUNT VERNON — Every year the Heart of Ohio USA Days Association brings the best bands from all genres to please all the various musical tastes out there. And 2017 will be no exception!

The week will kick off on Wednesday, June 21, with Church Night followed by the Music Men of London with the best in barbershop harmonies in pop music songs.

Thursday, June 22, will feature ’70s Arena Rock in the styles of Pink Floyd, Queen, Led Zeppelin, Styx, Boston, Deep Purple, Journey and many more as performed by the Classic Rock Experience with Mount Vernon rockers King Darwin opening the show.

Friday, June 23, will open with the Shades of Blue, Motown group from Detroit who had a hit with “Oh How Happy You Have Made Me.” The headliners Friday will be the classic group, The Marcels, from Pittsburgh who had huge hits with “Blue Moon” and “Heartaches” and even has a new CD out right now. Original member Walt Mattox will be doing his special tribute to the late, great Nat King Cole. When he starts crooning those familiar songs you will think you are listening to Nat himself!

Saturday, June 24, will of course kick off with the big parade through town, the annual Karaoke Contest Finale followed by area favorites, the Kokosing River Surf Club. Fireworks will conclude the festival afterwards.

Many more announcements will be forthcoming as more details are finalized.
