MOUNT VERNON — The city’s goose management plans for Ariel-Foundation Park are coming together and includes four days of hunting at the park.

At the mayor’s press briefing this week, Parks Superintendent Dave Carpenter said he has scheduled four days of hunting, on Jan. 28, Feb. 1, Feb. 4 and Feb. 11. Hunting will be from sunrise until noon.

Four hunting sites will be designated in the park and two hunters will be assigned to each site. Selection will be by random drawing.

Applications will be taken until 4 p.m. Jan. 18 at the Parks Office at 307 Wooster Road. The drawing will take place at 4 p.m. Jan. 19 at the C.A.&C. Depot, which will be followed by a mandatory orientation meeting at the depot.
