DANVILLE — Jacob J. Yoder, 55, died Friday, Jan. 6, 2017, at his residence following a three year battle with cancer.

He was born in Orrville, on May 18, 1961, to Jonas A. and Saloma (Mast) Yoder. He married Ada R. (Miller) Yoder on Feb. 2 of 1982. She survives. He was a wood worker and a member of the Old Order Amish Church.

In addition to his wife, he is survived by his children, Rachel (Samuel) Gingerich of the home, Emery (Lovina) Yoder of Fredericksburg, John (Laura) Yoder of Danville, and Barbara (Alfred) Stutzman of Danville; seven grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Mary) Yoder, Emanuel (Susan) Yoder, John (Mattie) Yoder, Andy (Laura) Yoder, Levi (Anna) Yoder, and Jonas Jr. (Ada) Yoder; and brothers-in-law; Joe (Erma) Miller, Monroe (Katie) Miller, Roy Jr. (Ella) Miller all of Holmes County.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, Jan. 9, at 8:30 a.m., at the family home, 23390 Snively Road, Danville. Bishop Andy Byler will be officiating. Friends can call anytime. The Fischer Funeral Home in Danville is assisting with arrangements. Visit www.fischerfuneralhome.com.
