MOUNT VERNON — Jonathan Foster Brown, 53, of Mount Vernon, entered into rest Wednesday, Dec. 28, 2016.

Born June 30, 1963, in Takoma Park, Md., he was the son of Gale and Delores (Hintz) Brown of Indore.

John was a teacher and head wrestling coach for 20 years at Mount Vernon High School.

In addition to his parents John is survived by his wife, Jennifer (Roberts) Brown of Mount Vernon; two daughters, Haley Ray Brown of Dublin, and Lexi Lillian Brown of Mount Vernon; sister, Patricia (Kevin) Conley of Raleigh, N.C.; brothers, Dr. James (Rhonda) Brown of Charleston, Richard (Aldrea) Brown of Avalon, Pa.

A celebration of life will be held 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 31, at Vineyard Church of Knox County, 806 Harcourt Road, Mount Vernon.

Service to follow calling hours, at the church.
