MOUNT VERNON — Jacqueline Kay Johnson, 74, of Mount Vernon, passed away Sunday, Dec. 25, 2016, at Riverside Hospital in Columbus.

She was born Sept. 24, 1942, in Flint, Mich., to the late Neil and Olive Edith (Holdorff) Downing Sr.
Jacqueline was a registered nurse and had worked for Country Court Nursing Home for 26 years and most recently at Home Instead.

She is survived by her two daughters, Jennifer Johnson and Tina Johnson, both of Mount Vernon; a brother, Curt (Sharon) Downing of Flint, Mich.; and a sister, Carol Colley of Flushing, Mich.

Friends may call Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017, from 1-2 p.m., at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon, where a memorial service will follow at 2 p.m.
