MOUNT VERNON — Margaret Ann Epling, 76, of Mount Vernon, passed away Dec. 24, 2016, at her residence surrounded by loving family.

She was born Aug. 5, 1940, in Columbus, and was the daughter of the late Frank and Margaret (Taynor) Elias.

Margaret was a member of the Mount Vernon Senior Citizens Euchre Club.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Buddy Edward Epling; her three children, Donald E. Epling of Mount Vernon, Kimberly Epling of Columbus and Douglas Epling of Marysville; nine grandchildren; two great-grandchildren, James Patrick Jevas and Noah Epling; three sisters, Emma, Shirley, Mary; and a brother, John Elias.

Margaret was preceded in death by two brothers, Frank and Jimmy Elias; and a grandson, Eric A. Slone.
Friends may call Wednesday, from 4-7 p.m., at Lasater Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road in Mount Vernon. Where funeral services will be held on Thursday at 11 a.m. Burial will follow in Mound View Cemetery.
