MOUNT VERNON — The healing power of touch was released on the world Thursday when the Knox Technical Center School of Massage Therapy held its 2016 Commencement Ceremony and eight graduates joined the ranks of qualified massage providers.

Program coordinator Diane Shew welcomed the family and friends who came to celebrate the students’ achievements, and thanked them for their support throughout the 17-month program.

“Thank you for willing to be guinea pigs for their case studies,” Shew added. “We honor the graduates for the incredible amount of work they have done and the amazing amount of anatomy and physiology they had to learn.”
