CENTERBURG — The State Highway Patrol is currently investigating a two vehicle, single-fatality crash from Thursday night.

The accident took place at about 7:24 p.m., on Johnstown Road in Milford Township.

Brandon M. Kroninger, 27, Centerburg, was pronounced dead at the scene.

According to the patrol, Kroninger was operating a 1999 Honda Civic southbound on Johnstown Road.

Nickolas A. Dodd, 24, Centerburg, was operating a 1999 Chevrolet pickup truck northbound on Johnstown Road. According to the patrol, Kroninger drove left of center and struck Dodd’s truck head on.

Dodd was transported to Knox Community Hospital by Central Ohio Joint Fire District personnel with non-life threatening injuries. Ricky E. Dodd, a passenger with Nickolas Dodd, was transported to Grant Medical Center by Homer Fire Department EMS.

Kroninger was wearing a seatbelt, OSHP reported. Alcohol or drugs are not believed to be factors in this crash, which continues to be investigated.

Knox County Sheriff’s Office, Knox County Highway Department, Central Ohio Joint Fire District and Homer Fire Department were on the scene and assisted with the crash investigation.
