The Utica Area Foundation and members of local veterans groups took part in the “Wreaths Across America” ceremony recognized nationally on Saturday. Veterans from each branch of the military were honored by the laying of wreaths, a new tradition which started at Arlington National Cemetery. Participating in the ceremony at the Utica Wall of Honor are, from left, Mike Worley, Mike Flaherty and Jim Hawke of the Utica American Legion Post 92, and Kendall Billman from Lynn Rodeniser VFW Post 9062. The ceremony in Mount Vernon’s Mound View Cemetery was rescheduled to today because of icy conditions.
