HOWARD — Geneva A. Frost, 86, of Howard, died Sunday morning, Dec. 18, 2016, at home surrounded by family. She was born Jan. 2, 1930, in Mount Vernon, to the late Albert and Grace (Squires) Ross.
Geneva was a 1948 graduate of Johnsville High School and had worked for Islay’s and the Donut Hole in Mount Vernon. She attended the Grace Community Church near Mount Vernon. Geneva enjoyed doing word search puzzles.
Geneva is survived by her children, Doyle Frost of Danville, James (Pennie) Frost of Howard and Jane (Donald) Teal of Mount Vernon; four grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandson.
In addition to her parents, Geneva was preceded in death by her husband, Bernard D. “Jack” Frost; granddaughter, Angela Teal; and a sister, Naomi Ross.
The family will receive friends from 4-7 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 21, at the Flowers-Snyder Funeral Home, 619 East High St., Mount Vernon, where a funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. on Thursday, Dec. 22, with Pastor Roger Tickle officiating. Burial will follow in Mount Vernon Memorial Gardens.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Knox County, 17700 Coshocton Road, Mount Vernon, in Geneva’s memory.
