FREDERICKTOWN — Barbara A. Flood, 80, of Fredericktown, died Thursday, December 15, 2016, at the Laurels of Mount Vernon. Barbara was born July 20, 1936, in Mount Vernon to Royal and Leona (Smith) Montgomery and had spent her lifetime in the Fredericktown area. She had been an employee of the Continental Can Company in Mount Vernon for many years. Barbara was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church.

Surviving are her children Lisa (Tony) Schwartz of Fredericktown, Mike (Beth) Trainer of Apex, N.C., Kelly M. (Shawn) Bakies of Cypress, Texas and Mary Jean (Roger) Ash of Fredericktown; grandchildren Tashena Snow, Ciera Lomphoy, Carley Ash, Hannah Rose Teter and Savannah Trainer; great-grandchildren Reaghan Snow, Xavier Lomphoy, Saylor Lomphoy, Alicia Talbot and Audrina Talbot; her brother Robert (Loretta) Montgomery of Mount Vernon: and her sister Janet Montgomery of Fredericktown. Barbara was preceded in death by her longtime companion Jack Horner.

Friends may call Sunday from 1p.m. to 3 the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown where funeral services will follow at 3 p.m.. Burial will follow at Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
