SPARTA — The Highland Fighting Scots trailed Thursday’s game before it even started.

Highland was called for a technical foul before the game for providing an incorrect roster to the scorekeeper. Centerburg’s Cierra Joiner converted the two subsequent free throws before the clock ever started.

The Scots never came back. The Trojans played a near-flawless game from there to pick up a 46-35 Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference victory.

Thursday’s game was the second of back-to-back excellent performances for the Trojans. They defeated then-unbeaten Elgin, 41-38, last Friday.
