GAHANNA — Ronald Albert Heft, 74, of Gahanna, passed away Monday, Dec. 5, 2016, in Columbus. He was born Dec. 14, 1941, in Newark, a son of the late Curtis Albert and Marjorie (Felumlee) Heft.

Ron served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from Owens Corning Fiberglas in Newark and had worked at Chesrown Auto, in Newark and Carriage Town Auto in Delaware. He loved cars and food and was a member of New Life Church in Gahanna.

Surviving are his sons, Stephen (Kelly Jo) Heft and Troy Heft; and a granddaughter, Jocelyn Heft. His wife, Patsy, and a son, Ryan Heft, preceded him in death.

A Memorial Service will be held at 11am, on Saturday, Dec. 17, at New Life Church, Gahanna Campus, 3690 N. Stygler Road, Gahanna. Interment will be at Newark Memorial Gardens.
