MOUNT VERNON — A former Mount Vernon man who eluded the law on theft charges for 13 years reported to jail Saturday to begin a 15-day sentence.

Knox County Jail staff confirmed Monday that Jeremy Henthorn, 35, reported in on his court-ordered report date of Dec. 10. Henthorn was sentenced Oct. 25 by Mount Vernon Municipal Court Judge John Thatcher to 15 days in jail and a $500 fine on one count of theft by deception. Thatcher granted Henthorn an extension to December to serve the jail sentence.
