MOUNT VERNON — The Knox County Board of Commissioners received six bids for the Knox County Jail’s central control system Thursday.

The following bids were received in a bid-opening hearing at the commissioner’s meeting room: $139,522, from Advanced Systems Technology; $198,850, from Diversified Integrated Systems; $122,500, from Security Automation Systems; $259,300, from Midstate Security; Mid Ohio Valley Integrated Systems, $107,500. Stanley CSS Center offered a base bid of $67,790, with two additional options: a $31,900 option, and a second at $13,210.

The project for the jail’s central control system includes replacing the touchscreen control station, replacing the analog DVR system with a new digital Internet protocol system, adding 11 cameras to the touchscreen control system, replacing the analog intercom system with a digital system, and installation of new security electronics system equipment.

The estimate for the project is $120,000. The bids will be reviewed by Knox County Sheriff’s Office.
