MOUNT VERNON — Paychecks for poll workers in the Nov. 8 Knox County general election were mailed to all workers on Tuesday — but a bit late. The News received word on Dec. 5, from a poll worker who stated they had not received their paycheck from working Election Day.

Questions were then posed to Knox County Board of Elections Director Kim Horn on the reason for why workers had not yet been paid.
