MOUNT VERNON — Some funds from the State of Ohio to help cover part of a shortfall of Medicare managed-care organizations tax collection is coming to Knox County. Knox County Commissioner Teresa Bemiller announced the news Thursday morning when the Knox County elected officials met at the Knox County Service Center.

“Legislature is supposedly going to be working on this. But what they’re telling us it won’t be a dollar-for-dollar reimbursement, and it most likely will be temporary,” said Bemiller. “They want us to learn how to get along without it.”
