GAMBIER — Doris E. “Babe” Parrish, 72, of Gambier, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 29, 2016, at her home surrounded by her loving family. She was born Sept. 10, 1944, in Mount Vernon, the daughter of Raymond “Coony” and Eloise (Fawcett) Dexter. Babe retired after 18 years of employment with T-Shirt Express in Mount Vernon and was a member of the local Goldwing Club.

She is survived by her husband of 38 years, Carl B. Parrish; two sons, Rick (Jacqueline) Masters and Larado Masters; a brother, Steve (Holly) Dexter; a stepson, Carl O. Parrish; six grandchildren, Derek Masters, Brennon Masters, Jesse J. Masters, Carl J. Parrish, Daniel Parrish and Dustin Parrish; three great-grandchildren, Damian Masters, Connor Masters, Logan Masters; and a brother, Robert Dial.

Besides her parents she was preceded in death by two sons, Jesse W. Masters and Marty P. Masters; and her sister, Carolyn (Dial) Zollars.

A graveside service will be held Friday, at 2 p.m., in St. John Cemetery. The Dowds-Snyder Funeral Home of Mount Vernon is honored to serve the family of Doris E. “Babe” Parrish.
