Curtis Hull

MOUNT VERNON — Testimony from an expert witness with a contrary view of Ohio’s drugged driving laws will be admitted in a aggravated vehicular homicide trial scheduled for December.

Defense council for Curtis Hull will be permitted to call Ohio State University college of pharmacy professor emeritus Alfred Staubus as an expert witness in a jury trial scheduled for Dec. 13 in Knox County Common Pleas Court.

A motion previously filed by Knox County Prosecuting Attorney Chip McConville sought to bar Staubus from testifying. McConville’s motion was not heard in an open hearing in court, and there was no court entry on the matter as of Friday.
