ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Separate sealed bids for 2019 Street Improvements, Village of Fredericktown, 2 E. Sandusky Street, Fredericktown, Ohio 43019, will be received by the office of Bruce Snell, Village Administrator, until 11:00 am, local time, on May 29, 2019, and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

The Information to Bidders, Bid Form, Contract Form, Plans, Specifications, and other contract documents may be examined at the following: Office of K.E. McCartney & Associates, Inc. 52 North Diamond Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44902

Copies may be obtained at the office of K.E. McCartney & Associates, Inc., 52 North Diamond Street, Mansfield, Ohio 44902, upon payment of $50.00 for each set. Checks shall be made payable to K.E.
McCartney & Associates, Inc. and all documents become the property of the prospective bidder, with no portion of the payment being refunded.

Project Description:

Asphalt overlay, resurfacing and repairs of various streets in the Village of Fredericktown, Ohio.

The Owner reserves the right to waive any irregularity which does not affect the competitive nature of the bidding process or to reject any or all bids.

Each bidder is required to furnish with its bid, a Bid Guaranty and Contract bond in accordance with Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code. Bid security furnished in Bond Form shall be issued by a Surety company or corporation licensed in the State of Ohio to provide said surety.

Each bid must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the bid and all persons interested therein. All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of their project.

Bidders must comply with the Prevailing Wage Rates on Public Improvements in Knox County and Village of Fredericktown, Ohio as determined by the Ohio Department of Commerce, Wage and Hour Division, 614-644-2239.

Sealed bids for OPWC – Apple Valley Drive (CR4) & Apple Valley Blvd. (CR4A) Resurfacing Phase 1 will be received by the Knox County Board of Commissioners at the office of the Knox County Board of Commissioners, 117 East High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050, until 11:00 am local time, May 28, 2019 and then at said office publicly opened and read aloud.

Bids shall be sealed and marked on the outside envelope as bid for OPWC – Apple Valley Drive (CR4) & Apple Valley Blvd. (CR4A) Resurfacing Phase 1 and mailed or delivered to the Knox County Board of Commissioners, 117 East High Street, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050.

This project consists of the following: full width pavement planing, transition planing, adjusting manholes and water valve boxes to grade, placing asphalt concrete intermediate and surface course, reconditioning shoulders using compacted aggregate, and placing pavement markings as indicated in the drawings and specifications. Questions regarding the work should be directed to the Knox County Engineer at (740) 397-1590.

Plans, specifications and bid forms may be examined at the Knox County Engineers Office, 422 Columbus Rd, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050.

Plans, specifications and bid forms may be obtained at the Knox County Engineer’s Office upon payment of $50.00 for each set. Checks shall be made payable to Knox County Engineer and all documents become the property of the prospective bidder, with no portion of the payment being refunded. The Bidding Document Package must be purchased from the above mentioned location to be considered a plan holder, receive addenda, and be eligible to bid on the project.

Each proposal must contain the full name of the party or parties submitting the proposal and all persons interested therein. Each bidder must submit evidence of its experiences on projects of similar size and complexity. The Owner intends and requires that this project shall be completed by September 30, 2019 from the notice to proceed.

Each proposal must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid. Said guaranty may be in the form of a bid bond, bid guaranty and contract bond, a certified check or cashier’s check or a letter of credit. Bid guarantees must meet the requirements of Section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.

All contractors and subcontractors involved with the project will, to the extent practicable use Ohio Products, materials, services, and labor in the implementation of this project. Additionally, contractor compliance with the equal opportunity requirements of Ohio Administrative Code Chapter 123, the Governor’s Executive Order of 1972, and Governor’s Executive Order 84-9 shall be required.

This is a prevailing wage project and is subject to the requirements of Ohio Department of Commerce Wage and Hour Division and Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code.

The County reserves the right to reject any and all bids and to waive any informalities.

Sealed bids will be received until Friday, June 14, 2019 at 12:00 p.m. EDT, and then publicly opened and read at Knox County Regional Airport, 6481 Kinney Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio, 43050 for furnishing all labor, materials and equipment and performing all work necessary for Rehabilitate Runway 10/28, (Full Depth Reclamation).

Each bid must be accompanied by a “Bid Guaranty” and “Contract Bond” meeting requirements of Section 153.571 of the Ohio Revised Code.

A pre-bid meeting will be held at the Knox County Regional Airport, 6481 Kinney Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio 43050 at 10:00 a.m. EDT, on Friday, May 31, 2019.

Bids may be held by the Knox County Regional Airport Authority for a period not to exceed 60 days from the date of the bid opening for the purpose of evaluating bids prior to award of contract.

The right is reserved, as the Knox County Regional Airport Authority may require, to reject any and all bids and to waive any informality in the bids received.

This project is subject to the requirements of the Davis-Bacon Act, as amended. The Contractor is required to comply with wage and labor provisions and to pay minimum wages in accordance with the schedule of wage rates established by the United States Department of Labor.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

Sealed bids for Morgan Township Roadway Improvements 2019 will be received by the Township Fiscal Officer, at the Home of Residence located at 3791 Ewart Rd., Mt. Vernon, OH 43050 until 8:00am local time, Date: June 3, 2019, at which time the Bids received will be opened and read aloud.

Bids shall be sealed and marked on the outside of the envelope as a bid for the Morgan Township Roadway Improvements 2019 and mailed or delivered to 3791 Ewart Rd., Mt. Vernon, OH 43050.

Project Description: This project consists of roadway resurfacing on Township roads in Knox County, Ohio. Surface treatments may include hot mix asphalt surface courses, hot mix asphalt leveling courses and chip seal applications as indicated in the plans, drawings and specifications.

Plans, specifications and bid forms may be obtained at 3791 Ewart Rd., Mt. Vernon, OH 43050. Due to limited office hours, please call 740-668-2174 to schedule a time for pickup of the bid package and delivery of the bid. Copies of the plans and specifications are available for viewing at the location cited above.

Each bid must be accompanied by a bid guaranty in the amount of five (5) percent of the bid. Said guaranty may be in the form of a bid bond, bid guaranty and contract bind, a certified check or cashier’s check or a letter of credit. Bid guarantees must meet the requirements of section 153.54 of the Ohio Revised Code.

Upon awarding of the contract, the contractor shall provide a performance bond in the full amount of the bid. Said bond shall be in the name of the Morgan Township Trustees. Said bidder shall enter into a contract with the Board of Township Trustees within fifteen (15) working days from the date of award. Said bond shall remain in effect until the work has been accepted in writing.
The successful bidder shall comply with the requirements of the Ohio Department of Commerce Wage and Hour Division and Chapter 4115 of the Ohio Revised Code.
