FREDERICKTOWN — Another spring track season is winding down. Meanwhile, young area athletes are focused on postseason league meets, as well as making the perilous climb to the regional and state tournaments.

Before all of that, however, a few of the best area athletes get a chance to show why they are the best.
SpecTRACKular, which will be held at Mount Vernon High School on Friday at 4:30 p.m., will honor the area’s most talented athletes. For the athletes, including the ones who participated in Tuesday’s quad meet at Fredericktown High School, SpecTRACKular was not far from their minds.
