MOUNT VERNON — Donald (Don) Faehnle went to be with his Lord on May 3, 2014, in Mount Vernon. He was born Oct. 30, 1927, to the late Carl and Agnes Faehnle. He graduated from Aquinas High School in 1945 and the Ohio State University in 1954. Don owned and operated his hearing aid business for 60 years in Columbus and Mount Vernon.

Donald was a charter member in the Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists, past president of the Columbus Hearing Aid Society and the Ohio Hearing Aid Society, a member of the OSU Alumni Club and the Columbus Rotary Club. Don was a member of the Worthington Grace Brethren Church and the Grace Brethren Church in Danville.

He is survived by his wife, Suzanne (Shields) of 61 years and four daughters, Jan Czerwinski of Port Clinton, Ohio, Cathy Treyens of Columbus, Dianne Sanker of Westlake, Ohio, and Carol Craft of Denver, Colo.; and seven grandchildren. Don is also survived by a sister, Martha Casey of Canton, and a brother, Dave Faehnle of Columbus.

A Celebration of Life is planned for Saturday, at 3 p.m., at the Danville Grace Brethren Church, 302 E. Ross, Danville.
