SPARTA — It was a battle of undefeateds that came down to one prodigious swing of the bat.

Fredericktown Freddies catcher Tyler Ruhl blasted a grand slam well over the 370-foot sign in left field in the first inning, pacing his team to a 5-2 victory over the host Highland Scots in Thursday’s battle for supremacy in the Blue Division of the Mid-Ohio Athletic Conference.
