MOUNT VERNON — The 2014 Mount Vernon Walk to End Alzheimer’s disease annual kick-off event took place Thursday evening at The Glenn A. Gallagher Center on the Ohio Eastern Star Campus.

Shelley Grubb, team captain coordinator, announced the 2014 walk will take place at Memorial Park in Mount Vernon on Saturday, September 27, at 11 a.m. Grubb introduced the 2014 Honorary Chairperson, Margaret Ann Ruhl. Ruhl said her motivation and reason for participating is her mother, who had dementia, which is a form of Alzheimer’s disease, before she passed away three years ago.
