PORT CLINTON — Virginia R. Cloran, 72, of Port Clinton, formerly of Fredericktown, passed away at her residence Tuesday, April 22, 2014. She was born in Columbus, Ohio, on Jan. 17, 1942, to Ornelio and Diamond (Panzone) De Pietro.
Virginia, or Ginny as she was known to all her friends, retired from The Ohio Bell Telephone Company, where she worked in a variety of positions including supervisor. She loved to shop, especially for shoes and purses, going out with friends and OSU sports. Virginia especially enjoyed going to the OSU football games.
She is survived by her son, Ron Burch, of Los Angeles, Calif.; stepdaughter, Joi (Bob) Sparks; stepgrandchildren, Anthony (Emily) Hunter, Justin Hunter, James Murphy, and Samantha (Jake) Adamson; step-great-grandchildren, Jon Luke Adamnson, Laken and Evelyn Hunter; and a brother, Nick (Debbie) De Pietro.
Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Martin Cloran.
The family will observe a graveside service Thursday, at 11 a.m., in Forest Cemetery in Fredericktown.
