Passed legislation from last night’s meeting

MOUNT VERNON — The new hotel project on Public Square was again the main topic of discussion at Monday’s Mount Vernon City Council meeting, first at a Streets and Public buildings Committee meeting, then during discussion for the second reading of the resolution granting Mount Vernon Nazarene University an easement on Public Square.

Council was also given an updated map of the project showing the reduced extension of the new sidewalk into the street, plus a flattening of the turn from South Main Street onto Public Square.
