ST. LOUISVILLE — The North Fork School district has realized a savings of $350,000 compared to the last fiscal year. Treasurer Tonya Mickley told the News on Tuesday the reduction in expenditures is largely due to savings in staff salaries and benefits, and careful evaluation of any purchase request. She also reported the district has leased five schools buses needed because the district has purchased no new buses since 2011. A new maintenance pickup truck has also been acquired.
