MOUNT VERNON — The Mount Vernon Shade Tree and Beautification Commission celebrated Earth Day on Tuesday by dedicating a tree in honor of Knox County Career Center horticulture instructor Craig Campbell. During his 18 years at KCCC, Campbell and his students have planted more than 1,500 trees — as well as countless bulbs and shrubs — throughout the city.
