MOUNT VERNON — No action was needed by the Mount Vernon Planning Commission at its meeting Thursday afternoon.

The meeting had been scheduled because officials thought a downtown zoning change might be needed in order to qualify for the newest Community Development Block Grant program for downtown rehabilitation efforts.
