MOUNT VERNON — The city has been notified its application for an Ohio Public Works Clean Ohio Conservation Fund grant for the purchase of 25 acres adjoining Ariel-Foundation Park has been approved.

“We weren’t very optimistic about receiving the grant because it didn’t score as well as we would have liked,” said Safety-Service Director Dave Glass.
