MOUNT VERNON — A Mount Vernon man was arrested on Monday after calling 911 on March 19 and alleging a woman had been stabbed and was being held captive in a Mount Vernon hotel.

According to a release from the Mount Vernon Police Department, Jason Sowers, 32, was charged with one count each of inducing panic and misuse of the 911 system.
