DANVILLE — Danville’s Team Black made a good showing at the March 7 state Mock Trial championship. In Trial 1, the defense team of attorneys Alyssa Urban and Daniel Alden, witnesses Alyssa Iverson and Breana Pitsenberger, and timekeeper Payton Colopy went against Westerville North Plaintiff.

In the second trial, the plaintiff team, consisting of attorneys Kat Mickley and Amber Pitsenberger, witnesses Ethan Shultz and Tony Gault and bailiff/timekeeper Payton Colopy went against Indian Hills Team Blue Defense.

Adviser Jim Holmes said, “The youngsters did an absolutely marvelous job presenting their parts and arguing the issues of the case. The heartbreak came at the end of the day when the advancing teams were announced and we learned that Team Black was four points short of being able to move on.
