DANVILLE — After exploring several options, the Danville school board on Monday decided to make up its last calamity day by extending the length of the school day on Wednesdays. Rather than cutting into spring break, students will go an extra half hour every Wednesday beginning April 2 until the end of the school year.

It formally commended the high school Mock Trial teams for a successful year and especially applauded Team Black for advancing to state competition. Also commended were the varsity girls basketball team and coaches for a successful season and congratulations were extended to Matthew Proper for being named Division IV Coach of the year and to Brianna Staats for being named to Second Tam All-Ohio.
