MOUNT VERNON — Mayor Richard Mavis reported that the Area Development Foundation told the Mount Vernon Planning Commission Thursday that it has a prospect for development of a three-acre parcel on Industrial Park Drive. Mavis said the information didn’t include any details about the prospect, as the foundation was just checking the zoning and that services like sewer and water are available, which they are.

The prospect will go ahead with developing final plans and more details will be submitted to the city later.

The commission also received a request to vacate an undeveloped section of White Heirs Street at the edge of a property south of Coshocton Avenue.
