FREDERICKTOWN — Hobby Horse Hill Equestrian Center, a nonprofit therapeutic equestrian center in Fredericktown, offers a positive atmosphere for riders with disabilities and focuses on the center’s mission statement to “enhance personal growth through equine activities designed to promote healthy physical, psychological, cognitive, behavioral, emotional and social development.”

The farm offers therapeutic riding programs, day camps, and other programs. The riding program is for ages 3 and up, and group and private lessons are available. Day camps are open to all children ages 5 to 18 years old. Each day is divided into age groups, and children participate in games, crafts and have quality time with horses. They learn about all the aspects of working with horses including horse care, grooming, tacking and riding.

The center is in the process of expanding its service of therapeutic riding to local veterans and their families.
