MOUNT VERNON — Dedication and contributions to downtown Mount Vernon and The Heritage Centre Association were recognized Thursday evening when HCA conducted its annual awards banquet at The Alcove.

Following a cocktail hour, HCA Downtown Manager Carrie Haver gave a welcome and introduced HCA president Steve Waers.

“We had a strong year with great downtown events, like First Fridays, monthly networking meetings, the Rubber Duck River Race, and the Christmas Parade and Walk,” said Waers. “We worked to market and promote our incredible downtown, as well as all our 156 members. Mount Vernon is an amazing place to work, play and live, and much of that is due to folks like the ones in this room who care for and appreciate our community.”
