WESTERVILLE — When nerves are high heading into a basketball game, defense can be the tonic needed.

The Danville girls basketball team found that to be the case Thursday, as their defense absolutely shut down Granville Christian in the Division IV District semifinals at Westerville North. The Blue Devils allowed just two field goals in the first half and no points for the first six-plus minutes of the game en route to an impressive 67-25 victory over the Lions.
